Promotional Embroidered Items For Older Person’s Day
Our school organization wanted to make our group recognized by the school. One of the school’s requirements for accreditation is one outreach activity sponsored by the applicant organization. Since our group mainly consisted of girls who knew how to stitch, we decided to give out custom embroidered promotional items at a local nursing home.

We made the custom embroidered promotional products with our own hands. We placed our organization name and logo on these items to make it proof of our activity. We made beanies, sweaters and jackets for the elderly. It was the International Day for Older Persons and we had the perfect occasion to give out our products.
The nursing home staff were quite accommodating, and we had no problems asking for their permission. We were able to give out the embroidered items to them without any hassle. Even though only a couple of the old folks were able to show their appreciation, we saw in their eyes that they were truly pleased with what we gave them.
The weather was about to change from bad to worst during that time, and all those custom logo embroidered promotional items really helped them a lot. A couple of days later, the staff informed us that the apparel we gave them made them feel better. Another staff also mentioned that all of the old folks had longer sleeping time after wearing the items.
Nothing beats helping other people. Even though we used the embroidered items primarily to register with the school, I was glad that we had to do the activity. Our group is now accredited by the school and we plan on doing the same activity every year as a reminder of how our organization started.
